Kriya Yoga Practices

Kriya Yogi Kameshwar Nath Tiwary has always evolved his methods and practices with time to suit and address the needs of the new generation.  In his opinion, a spiritual practice like Kriya Yoga has its relevance only if it is offered to the new generation in a form and way that is easy to adopt and practice without compromising on the essence of the method. Hence,  Kriya Yogi Kameshwar calls this Modern Kriya Yoga, the Kriya Yoga invented by Mahavatar Babaji and introduced to the world by Lahiri Mahasaya. Modern Kriya Yoga can be practiced at the most elementary level with an aim for a healthy mind & body and at the highest level to attain Mukti (Nirvana).

In simple words, Modern Kriya Yoga:

  • involves Pranayam, Meditation and various other forms and aasanas of varying levels leading to awakening of chakras (energy centers) in your body

  • helps you to achieve self realization and eventually liberation from the cycle of birth and death (Mukti)

  • can be practiced Kriya Yoga without renouncing your family life (Grihastra Ashram). However, while practising Kriya Yoga, you should strive to lead a pious life.

  • depending on your time availability , interest, and dedication, you can start with level one and move upwards.
